The Lobsters arrived Monday. We have Lester and a couple of cousins. They spent Monday in Mrs. Shafer's kindergarten class. (They have been participating with us). The Lobster got to go on a tour of our new addition. The 6th, 7th and 8th grade students from our area moved into the addition Monday and everyone went to check out the neat new stuff.
The class read "When the Relatives Came" and drew pictures of their relatives.
On Tuesday, the Lobsters spent time with Mrs. Paxton's kindergarten class. They read "John Henry" and "When I Was Young in the Mountains". Mrs. Young, the second grade teacher showed the students how to spin and weave their own wool cloth like real mountain people.
They also helped decorate the classroom for our Earth Day open house tomorrow. We have butterflies to release, sunflowers and trees to plant and a program to perform.
