Our group poem based on What If by Shel Silverstein
Last night as I lay thinking here,
Some WHATIFS crawled inside my ear.
And pranced and partied all night long.
And sang their SCHOOL TIME whatif song.
What if my desk falls apart!
What if the new bus driver takes a wrong turn and I'm the only one left on the bus!
What if I get beat up!
What if I go into the closet instead of my class and the mop starts talking!!!
What if I step in dog doo!
What if I lose my homework!
What if I daydream in class!
What if I dive in the pool and break my head!
What if my pants are loose and I lose my pants!
What if bumps start growing!
What if my school supplies come alive and chase me around the school room!
What if Jason Friday 13 comes to my school!
What if I go into the boys' bathroom instead of the girls' bathroom!
What if a hurricane picks up my school!
What if I lose my homework!
What if I start to sing in class!
What if I get a part in a play!
What if I'm in detention and everyone laughs!
Everything seems swell, and then . . .
THE NIGHTTIME WHATIFS STRIKE AGAIN!
