March 6, 1836 - As the attack continued

With the cheers, explosions, cries, thuds, and running feet, the walls came alive with cannon and rifle fire. Every Texan had four or five guns stacked beside him.

On the third attack, the bulk of the Mexicans reached and surged the north wall beneath Texan rifles but safe from the cannon.

A slaughter followed.
