March 6, 1836 - Inside the Alamo

As yells, bugles, and rockets exploded in the sky, Travis ran to the north battery wall. He saw Mexicans with planks and ladders close to the fort. They must have overpowered the guards outside the walls.

Travis leaned over and shot a point-blank range blast at those Mexicans scaling the walls. With the volley of shots that followed, Travis was hit in the head! He dropped his shotgun and rolled down the steep wall, stunned and dying.

Chaos erupted.
