What became of Santa Anna's army?

The armies leisurely progressed through the settlements. They lived off the land, burned towns, caused panic, and met no armed resistance.

On April 21, Sam Houston attacked Santa Anna's army during siesta time at San Jacinto. During the attack, Houston's men yelled "Remember the Alamo!" Santa Anna got away in disguise but was captured shortly thereafter.
