Dedication of an Ark

Yesterday the members of the Shari Jerusalem synagogue, Carroll Place dedicated the new handsome ark presented to the congregation by the women's society attached to the synagogue known as the B'noth Jerusalem. The ark is said to have cost $1300 to build. Rabbi S. J. Friederman spoke on the worthy work done by the women in donating the ark. The women in charge of the arrangements included Mrs. Esther Siletzky, Mrs. Dora Axelrod, Mrs. Gertrude Kaplan and Mrs. Fannie Goldfeder. The exercises were under the direction of Morris Allman, presiding officer of the ladies society: S. Kablensky, chairman of the congregation; A. Fine, H. Glazer, B. Kaplan, Mendel Katzoff, H. Rubin, M. Rubin, Joseph Siletzky and P. Leib.
