BONNIE FRIEDLAND

Bonnie Friedland, of Hendersonville, departed this life on Saturday, April 19, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in New York, she grew up in Westchester County and then resided in Boca Raton and Naples, FL. She permanently moved to Hendersonville in 2004, after visiting here during the summers for ten years. Bonnie lived her live with gusto. She was an avid hiker, traveler, golfer, card player, a lover of life, and a true people person. The Family would like to give their sincere appreciation to the staff of Four Seasons Hospice and Pardee Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion during Bonnie’s illness. Survivors include her loving husband of forty-six years, George; two daughters, Tracy Friedland of Clearwater, FL, Wendy Klein, her husband Sam, and her adoring grandchild Amanda, of Alpharetta, GA; devoted brother, Donald Duberstein and his wife Phyllis, of Purchase, NY; and in-laws, Helene and Richard Britt of Boca Raton, FL.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Agudas Israel Congregation, 505 Glasgow Lane, Hendersonville, NC., with Rabbi  Philip Bentley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Friedland’s home, 149 Thrashing Rock Dr., Hendersonville.
