March 5, 1836 - Daytime

This morning when I looked from the fort, I saw that the Mexicans had pushed the northern battery closer so that it was now 200 yards from the fort.

All day, the soldiers kept a brisk fire pounding the crumbling walls of the fort.

Inside the fort, during the late afternoon when the firing stopped, some of the besieged Texans came out into the Alamo plaza to eat.

Colonel Travis must make a decision about their futures!
